2008年製造。新潟トランシス製ぞ。ブレーメン形超低床電車。車体を2つつなげた連結構造。従来のようなバックミラーはなし。カメラ映像が入るようになっている。赤は肥後椿をイメージしている。

1997年に製造された熊本市交通局の路面電車車両である。日本で最初に導入された超低床路面電車。第38回ローレル賞および第19回国際交通安全学会賞を受賞している。欧州各国で使用されている超低床電車を日本向けに設計した車両。台車および電気部品はドイツのアドトランツ（現在のボンバルディアBombardier ）が製造しているブレーメン形。車体は新潟鉄工所。
（フランスのランスで運行されている路面電車もボンバルディア製）
